(I&#8217;m not special\u2014you\u2019d get one too if you signed up for a certain app.) The email, clearly trying to draw me in, emphasized how essential planning and intent are in capturing those breathtaking images you see everywhere. A panel of photographers was lined up to explain how I\u2014yes, me\u2014can learn to take photos like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>But you know what the most important resource in photography is\u2014especially in nature photography? (Besides light.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Time spent sitting in the dark, waiting for the sun to rise, watching the cool blues melt into the rosy pinks of dawn. Time spent returning again and again to a location, chasing the perfect lighting that makes a viewer pause and think, <em>&#8220;Wow, that&#8217;s incredible.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Time spent honing your skills so that in a fleeting moment, you&#8217;re ready\u2014just like a photojournalist capturing history in a single frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, yes, you\u2019ll snap a photo on a whim that turns out beautifully. Like a sudden rush of water that reshapes the land, inspiration can strike without warning. But more often, it\u2019s the steady investment of time\u2014time spent practicing, observing, refining\u2014that transforms your work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:11px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Photography isn\u2019t just about gear or technique\u2014it\u2019s about patience, persistence, and presence.
